History & CCIB
Federal-Williams Communications Inc. is the product of Federal Wireless Communications Inc. and Williams Communication Services merging under a new banner. This was a strategic marriage of two very strong and long-standing organizations that combine the experience and power of our Field Services Team with our Project Management and Engineering Teams under one roof, bringing more value to our products and services across the industry.
Established in 1999, Federal Wireless Communications Inc. began to build a strong and formidable presence in the industry, growing through the years to expand operations with the acquisition of Williams Communication Services in 2020, bringing onboard almost 60 years of experience into the fold. Combined together, the two organizations became a powerhouse in the industry that offer more than Radios, Wireless Products and Service.
In 2024, these organizations were joined under a new brand, introducing Federal-Williams Communications Inc. to the forefront of all operations.
As a member of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business, our company strives for excellence in all aspects of our products and services. Maintaining this level of excellence lines up with the CCIB and their commitment to helping to keep Indigenous businesses at the forefront of the Canadian economy, fostering relationships between Indigenous entrepreneurs and Canada’s institutional enterprises to cultivate shared prosperity.

Indigenous Scholarships
MARLENE MAE MCINTYRE SCHOLARSHIP FOR INDIGENOUS STUDENTS – 2023
Federal-Williams Communications Inc. is a Mission-Critical and Operation-Critical Public Safety Communications providers. We are 100% Indigenous Owned businesses who are proud to offer a targeted scholarship for Students in honour of our proprietor’s mother. As a proud indigenous family, it is the goal of Federal-Williams Communications to nurture and support the educational and professional growth of students and young adults within the Indigenous Community.

Application Process
All applicants will need to submit the Application Form by the indicated date. Students are also welcomed to include with their submissions a video file, YouTube link or Digital File Submissions will be reviewed by the Board of Directors and successful candidates will be notified directly. Promote
To promote the scholarship, we plan to connect with high schools, universities, and colleges. Advertisement on our company website and Social Media platforms; with APTN News and other local Indigenous publications. We will also work with Scholarships Canada to link, market, and promote the scholarship opportunities.
Recipients
Recipients will have the choice of receiving a cheque or having the monies sent directly to a specific school on the recipients’ behalf.
